Description for Job: IRC20460 Parking Enforcement Attendant

TUHSC PARKING

Location: New Orleans, LA

Summary The Parking Enforcement Attendant is responsible for monitoring parking meters, issuing citations, installing traffic signs and immobilizing vehicles, aswell as reporting any and all serious infractions to the on-duty supervisor.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

* Must be capable of sitting and standing in one location for long periods of time

* Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills

* Effective command of the English language; excellent oral and written communication skills

* Physically able to walk several miles while at the same time operating portable radios, electronic ticket writers and/or immobilization devices

* Must be at least 18 years of age

* Must have a valid and unrestricted (not including corrective lens needs) U.S. Driver's license and must meet the Tulane University Motor Vehicle

* Meet policy criteria to become authorized as a driver

Required Education and/or Experience

* High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

* Prior experience with issuing Traffic Citations

* Prior experience using Electronic Ticket Writers

* Prior experience using immobilization devices

* Experience operating radio communications devices
