About us

St. Louis King of France School Little Crusaders is an Archdiocesan early childhood center in Metairie, LA. Our mission is to begin building Gospel values while guiding children to reach their highest developmental, social, and academic potential. The Little Crusaders Early Childhood Program will create and maintain a hands-on, child-centered early educational program while empowering families to participate in and enhance their children`s development. Our caring and nurturing environment will foster growth in language development, problem-solving, as well as gross and fine motor skills, which will provide the building blocks for success in future learning.

Information about St. Louis King of France - Little Crusader Program:

● We are a 12-month program (August - July).

● We are a Type I Nursery (owned by the Catholic Church).

● We are monitored by State Licensing, the Louisiana Department of Health, the Archdiocese of New Orleans, and the State Fire Marshall.

Full-Time Teaching Position

● The minimum age to work full-time is 18 years old.

● Each classroom will have three full-time teachers.

● Full-time teachers are paid a monthly salary. (30th or 31st of the month via direct deposit)

● Salary is based on education level and Early Childhood credentials.

● Full-time teachers are offered medical benefits ($82.00 a month), vision, dental, and a 401K where we match your input up to 3 ½%.

● Full-time teachers are offered one day a month for each month they work. These days may be used for sick days or personal days. The days may also be accrued from month to month - school year to school year - up to 30 days.

● Full-time teachers will be paid when the Nursery is closed for holidays. There are 38 paid holidays for the 23-24 school year.

● Faculty meetings are mandatory and are held monthly via Google Meet.

● Full-time teachers must be CPR certified, certified in Medication Administration, and have 12 hours of continuing education. SLKF will pay for the courses.

● The full-time teachers must wear scrubs and closed shoes. ALL tattoos must be covered. No piercings.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20,800.00 - $28,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift  (7:30 am - 11:30 am) or (2:00 pm - 6:00 pm) 
• 8 hour shift (9:30 am - 6:00 pm)
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Metairie, LA 70005: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)
